This is Hector Lake–the destination for my morning walks with Max and Molly.
We leave the house and walk the same route down the dirt road that’s now covered with snow and ice.
Sometimes a car goes by. If it’s 7:50 a.m. the school bus passes and I wave.
I wonder if the kids say, “There goes that lady and her dogs.”
When we arrive at the lake, Max and Molly sniff around to see what’s new.
I stand at the edge of the lake watching and listening.
Some days a mist rises off the water. Or the water is choppy from the wind. Sunshine changes the lake completely whether it’s summer or winter.
Today it was cold still ice. Peaceful and quiet.
A wonderful story again Chrissy. Blessings! Uncle Walter
Thanks, Uncle Walter xo
